2. Volcano + Traditional Balinese Village

This is a
great one day trip to Java and one of the great Buddhist monument on
the planet, Borobodur. Transfer service from your
hotel to Ngurah Rai Airport for your flight to Yogyakarta. Upon
arrival in Yogyakarta, you will be met by one off our staff, and
driven to the largest Buddhists sanctuary, Borobudur. The temple
stands at 120 feet high on the hill north west of Yogyakarta. The
temple is an outdoor journey of the cycle of life, from hell on the
lower tiers, through life in the middle tiers and then Nirvana on the
upper tier. This journey is explained to us with the use of detailed
stone relief carvings spanning hundreds of meters. This trip includes
a visit to Pawon and Mendut Temples as well. Lunch will be served at
an authentic local restaurant and then we continue our trip to
Malioboro Road, Kota Gede the central of silver smiths and the
Prambanan Hindu’s Temple complex. Prambanan in many ways is as
impressive as Borobodur with thousands of sculptures and statues
adorning its tiers. Late afternoon we will head back to the airport
to catch your return flight to Bali.

FLORES EXTENSION
FLORES 5 DAY / 4 NIGHTS ROAD TRIP

completed the Komodo Dragon trip, our 5 day 4 night Flores Road Trip
is a perfect trip extension.
Flores is one of the most diverse landscapes on earth with an amazing array of cultures mixed in. Dramatic mountain landscapes, lush fertile valleys, rivers, lakes, waterfalls and more await those that wish to explore the island. To top the trip off we will take you to a volcano that has three different coloured lakes.
Itinerary : Day 1 Depart Labuan Bajo for the mountain village of Ruteng. Along the way you will see an amazing network of what is known as spider web rice fields.
Overnight in the very cool Ruteng. (B)
Day 2 : From Ruteng we will continue through the mountains and then south towards the coast to Borong. We are now in remote Flores and we will visit several traditional villages along the way. We will once again end up in a mountain village call Bajawa, a vibrant town made up of a diverse selection of hill tribes. (B)
Day 3: We continue east towards our trips highlight, Ende and the volcano of Kelimutu (3 coloured lake volcano). Along the way we have a chance to feel the sand beneath our feet near Nangapanda. From there we head up to Kelimutu via Ende and check into the Eco Lodge there. (B)
Day 4: This morning we will rise early for a sunrise view of the amazing Kelimutu. These lakes although only meters apart, are coloured differently. The National Park is a great place to explore. We will take a short trek through the nearby landscape and explore waterfalls and more closer to the eco lodge. Overnight at eco lodge. (B).
Day 5: Transfer to Maumere for your flight back to
Bali.
