Training Walks

Welcome to our weekend walks page. We conduct monthly weekend walks in various locations around Melbourne. In the coming months we intend to have available walks in other Capital cities such as Sydney, Perth, Brisbane and Cairns.

These walks are designed to help you walk your gear in, train, get to know other adventurers and to meet some of the No Roads team. They are open to anyone who wants to come along, you do not have to be a paying No Roads trekker.

They are also absolutely free.

The following are the dates, locations, times etc for our upcoming walks. Please take note of the RSVP date as we do need to know numbers attending.

Note: More details will be sent out once we receive an RSVP from you.

RSVP
Please RSVP by the due date to secure your spot. RSVP by sending us an email with your details and number of people coming. RSVP email is info@noroads.com.au.

What to bring
This depends on the weather and the location. During the warmer months, shorts and t-shirts would be adequate. However during the cooler months or when climbing to the top of Donna Buang, a warm set of clothes is recommended.

- Backpack or days pack
- Bottle of water with at least 2 litres available
- Good walking shoes preferably the ones you will be trekking in
- Rain jacket
- Change of clothes just in case
- Lunch
- Good sense of humour
- Any equipment you may use on your expedition such as a walking stick
- Warm clothes (Winter Months)

For a more extended training walk why not try our short 3 day hikes in various places around Victoria. We have walks along the Great Ocean Rd, the Cathedral Ranges the Wilson's Prom Commando Walk and our great weekender Yarra Ranges Weekender. Check them out!
