ITINERARY
Day 1
Overnight in Marysville at the famous Fruit Salad Farm. After breakfast we head off to the Cathedral Ranges for the start of our expedition. Our first day will be a walk to Ned's Gully Peak, Little Cathedral Peak and Cathedral Peak.
We will then trek along the ridge to North and South Jawbone before heading back to Ned's Gully Carpark.
Overnight at the Fruit Salad Farm. (B,L,D)
Day 2
After a hearty breakfast we head back to the Ranges for a spectacular trek. Today we will walk from Cooks Mill to The Farmyard then across the Butresses to the Park's highest peak, Sugarloaf Peak. The views from there are spectacular.
We will head back to the carpark and return back to Melbourne thereafter. (B,L)
Note 1 : This trip runs from Friday Night to Sunday and is led by an experienced Australian guide.
Note 2 : This walk traverses the spectacular Cathedral Ranges. While the grade for the expedition is considered Moderate, there are sections such as the Wells Cave Track that is very hard. A reasonable level of fitness is required. Each day you'll transfer back to base which means you'll only have to carry your daypack during the day.
