ROUTES
The two main tracks leading to the summit are either up the northern slope from Senaru (600m ASL) or the eastern slope from Sembulan Lawang (1100m ASL). There is also a new route opened by No Roads from the southern slope known as the Jati Track.
The Gunung Rinjani trek circuit is an amazingly beautiful, rugged and difficult track. Although it is not well known it is equal to any of the great hiking tracks of the world.
ITINERARY
All expeditions are guided by a bi-lingual guide,
porters are provided for, so are tents, sleeping bags and cooking
utensils. All food is covered for on the mountain. All park fees and
admission fees are also included.
Day 01 Arrive in Bali and transfer to your hotel.
Day
02 Transfer to Denpasar Airport for flight to Lombok. From there
we will pick you up and take you to the Sheraton on Sengiggi beach.
Day 03 An early start for the beginning of a challenging day
ahead. (8 hours walk)
Day 04 Another early day with a 2 am wake
up for our summit attempt.
Day 05 Today will be spent relaxing
in the nearby hot springs and exploring the steaming Milk caves.
After a satisfying lunch it's a testing trek up the other side of
the caldera to the northern rim camp.
Day 06 We head down to Senaru via pristine
primary rain forests.
Day 07 Today we head
back down to the coast and alight our small boat for Gili Tranwangan.
Day 08 After breakfast we will fly back to
Bali. Overnight in Hotel. Free time to shop or relax.
