- Trek through the southern most part of the Australian mainland
- A great weekender or great training for other expeditions

OVERVIEW
The "Prom" as it is affectionately known is the southern most point of the Australian mainland. This enormous peninsula juts out into the infamous Bass Strait and a such its tortured and beautiful landscape reflects the power of the sea and the wind that has battered it over the millennia.

Its 130 km coastline is framed by granite headlands, mountains, forests and fern gullies. Tidal River, 30 km inside the park boundary, is the focus for tourism and recreation. The park contains the largest coastal wilderness area in Victoria.

While the Prom is constantly battered by the elements, it also has several calm and magnificent bays, sheltered from the southern ocean. What many people don't know, is the the "Prom" was the site of the first Special Forces training ground during WWII. These Commandos were subsequently sent on secret missions to East Timor and Singapore to stop the Japanese Imperial Army.

Depending on the group make up, we will practice some basic Commando style training during the expedition to help you train for your up coming expedition or just to maintain your fitness. Our 3 day/ 2 night expedition will take you across this mighty peninsula, from Tidal River to Refuge Cove. We will trek through pristine coastal forests and along untouched coastal beaches.

This expedition is a great weekender or an excellent training walk for larger expeditions.
