The South Island of New Zealand is a haven for adventure-seeking travellers, as well as being home to some of the most stunning landscapes on the planet. This fully guided eight-day adventure takes you across both the Routeburn Track and Kepler Track and rewards you with a splash of luxury at the Fiordland Lodge in the middle.

There has truly never been a better time to fly across the ditch and explore pristine New Zealand.

This fully guided trek takes you across both the Routeburn Track and the Kepler Track located within the Fiordland National Park.

Your eight day expedition begins in the adventure capital of New Zealand, Queenstown where you will spend one night before strapping on your hiking boots and taking two days to walk across the Routeburn Track. Overnight accommodation on the Routeburn Track will be in clean but basic hiking huts where you will have the opportunity to play cards and chat with fellow explorers and exchange stories.

Next, a two night stop to recharge your batteries and rest your legs at the luxurious Fiordland Lodge before beginning your three day Kepler Track Hike. The Kepler Track takes you through a range of terrains, past beautiful lakes, and to the tops of mountains. Keep in mind that the track can be steep at times and if the wind picks up it can be especially challenging.

To finish, you will end your trekking expedition with a celebratory dinner followed by an overnight stay in Queenstown.

Finally, you will return home full of endorphins, feeling accomplished and proud, and perhaps even a few kilos lighter.

Day 1: Arrive Queenstown and make your way to your accommodation. Safety briefing and pre-trek information to be given by your guide. (D)

Day 2: This morning you begin the Routeburn Track. You are eased into the first day of trekking with only 7.5km hiking today which will take you around four hours and give you time to find your trekking legs. You will notice that you have no mobile phone reception, the perfect opportunity to check out of your everyday world and appreciate this time in nature. Tonight's accommodation will be in clean but basic huts that are perfectly equipped with everything you will need for the evening. (B,L,D)

Day 3: An early start this morning as we trek 25.6km today, trekking through Lake Mackenize and all the way through to the Divide which is at the end of the Routeburn Track. You will be rewarded with stunning views along the track today with views of Lake Harris and the Darren Mountains. You will be transferred to the five star Fiordland Lodge where you will enjoy a delicious dinner. Overnight Fiordland Lodge (B,L,D).

Day 4: Today is a rest day and you will find plenty of opportunities to relax and recuperate at the Fiordland Lodge. There are two outdoor hot tubs where you can soothe your legs whilst looking out at the stunning lake and mountain (B, D).

Day 5: This morning we depart the luxurious Fiordland Lodge, put our packs back on and begin the Kepler Track. The first day you trek 8.2km with some significant inclines, however, the magnificent views of Lakes Te Anau and Manapouri and the Murchison and Kepler Mountains reward you for your efforts. Overnight tonight at the Luxmore Hut with its stunning mountain views. (B,L,D)

Day 6: An early start this morning as we begin the biggest day of trekking for the whole trip. Depart Luxmore Hut and make your way across a ridge just below Mount Luxmore. The difficulty of today's trek will very much depend on the weather conditions, walking along the exposed ridge leaves you open to all the elements and a strong wind can pick up in this area. It is not unusual to see snow during this section of the walk, yet you can also have brilliant sunshine. Continue past Iris Hut and make your way to Moturau Hut, which is located right next to Lake Manapouri, where you can take a dip. Overnight at Moturau Hut. (B,L,D)

Day 7: Your final day of trekking today as you make your way through the relatively easy path all the way to Kepler Track Car Park. You will be transferred back to Queenstown for a celebratory dinner (B,D).

Day 8: Your South Island New Zealand adventure is over, you can continue to explore New Zealand on your own or make your way back home today. (B)
